Overview
SUPERSTREAM is FatPipe’s smallest router clustering device, which aggregates multiple routers over multiple ISPs and backbones for highly reliable and redundant Internet/WAN access for outbound IP traffic. It is the mini version of FatPipe’s XTREME product. It is housed in a smaller form factor (chassis) and has a limited bandwidth of up to 2 Mbps.
SUPERSTREAM is designed for small remote offices that require a stable, reliable and redundant connection to the Internet, but do not require large bandwidth. It is perfect for small offices utilizing CITRIX® or other thin client technologies where the offices are accessing servers and programs located at a separate location via the Internet.
SUPERSTREAM is a bandwidth aggregator that can combine T1s, E1s, DSLs, ISDN, wireless connections, and/or cable lines up to a total throughput of 2 Mbps. Customers can bind the same type of lines together, (such as two or more DSL connections), or disparate lines, (any combination of two or more different type lines, such as a wired T1 and a wireless connection), to create a virtual FatPipe.
SUPERSTREAM balances the load over the multiple paths resulting in increased bandwidth. SUPERSTREAM also has an automatic line failover component that intelligently detects any line, router, ISP or backbone failures. SUPERSTREAM identifies the disruption, and automatically reroutes outbound traffic to available lines. SUPERSTREAM ensures that WAN infrastructures remains intact, up and running despite a component or service failure.
SUPERSTREAM works with all existing hardware and applications. No BGP programming is required.
